"Rendezvous with Russia", 10th International tourism film festival will open in Vologda on November 21.

“Rendezvous with Russia”, an international film festival, will open on November 21st in the Vologda Region, featuring around 50 Russian and foreign documentaries. The festival hopes to boost tourism in the region, hosting round table discussions and to debate the future of the local tourist industry.

For the third time in a row Vologda will become a platform for discussion between masters of film and television, tourism community and audience of different types of age groups.

The festival invites everyone to discover the unexplored beauty of different parts of our country, to scroll through the forgotten pages of centuries-old Russian history, to get acquainted with our multinational culture, traditions and customs.

The international tourism film festival “Rendezvous with Russia” is organized by the non-profit partnership for Promotion of Film Industry and Tourism in association with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation and the Association of Russian Filmmakers. It is arranged with the active support of the Vologda Region Government and Vologda City administration.

The program of the festival includes Russian and foreign films, round tables, presentations of tourist projects, master classes, events for children, meetings with theatre and film artists.

The festival is open to Russian and foreign production studios, television companies and independent producers. The goal of this project is to promote Russia’s tourism potential locally and worldwide, and build Russia’s image as a country congenial to tourism and recreation.
