Vologda Region Governor opened a new kindergarten in Vologda.
The significant event occurred in Vologda City - the opening of a new kindergarten. The preschool institution is designed for 350 places and it will help to settle the problem of a lack of kindergarten places in the city.
The new 3-storey day care centre will become home for several groups of kids from two and six years of age. The new kindergarten is accommodated with musical and sports halls, sports grounds, and a swimming pool. The kindergarten is scheduled to open in September.
The demand for places in kindergartens is high because many parents want their 2- and 3-year-olds educated in institutions whose sole purpose is education. Vologda’s Governor said that over the last five years 20 new nursery schools were built in the region, many day care centres were renovated. Construction of new kindergartens in the Vologda Region will continue.
