Veliky Ustyug takes first place in the list of Russia's most popular destinations in 2016.

Veliky Ustyug has made the top in the list of Russia's small cities that were most popular destinations in 2016, according to a study conducted by e-service for searching hotels RoomGuru.ru.
The study, which searched for the most popular and affordable options for tourists, compiled its results based on the number of hotel reservations between January 1 and December 31.
The top ten of the rating includes such Russian most popular cities as Suzdal, Sortavala, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Ples, Rostov Veliky, Pechory, Valdai, Uglich and Torzhok.
Veliky Ustyug has much to offer the discerning visitor. It has a remarkable place on Russia's tourist map. With a unique cultural and historical heritage, the city, abundant with architectural monuments and arts, has great tourism potential.
