Veliky Ustyug is in the list of Russia's cities that are most popular destinations for New Year holidays, according to a study conducted by the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation.
The study, which searched for the most popular and affordable options for tourists, compiled its results based on the number of hotel reservations.
The top ten of the rating includes such Russian most popular cities as Sochi, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Veliky Ustyug.
Veliky Ustyug has much to offer the discerning visitor. It has a remarkable place on Russia's tourist map. With a unique cultural and historical heritage, the city, abundant with architectural monuments and arts, has great tourism potential.
