Participants of the friendship motor rally Berlin-Moscow that started at the Brandenburg gate on July 23 arrived in Vologda.
From July 23 through August 13 about 1000 citizens of Germany will participate in the rally that aims to contribute to the strengthening of mutual understanding and cooperation between the peoples of both countries.
This is the second motor rally from Germany to Russia. Last year the rally was attended by more than 250 citizens of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, aged from 6 to 80. The route lay through Kaliningrad, Pskov, Tver, St. Petersburg, Smolensk and Moscow. This year the rally will involve more than 350 citizens from 16 countries aged from 6 months to 78 years old. In 2017, seven routes will be organized for the rally’s participants - “Main,” “Karelia,” “Golden Ring,” “Volga,” “Crimea,” “Caucasus,” and “Baikal.”
It is expected that all the activists will visit 45 cities, where meetings with local residents will be organized.
According to the organizers of the rally, the second Berlin-Moscow friendship motor rally is aimed at facilitating friendly and cultural ties between Germany and Russia.
