International and Russian experts came to Vologda Region to discuss best practices concerning export development.
IV International Cooperation Council kicked off in Vologda on October 31st. The International Cooperation Council gathered leading experts, government officials, business support institutions and public organizations from ten Russian regions and such foreign countries as Germany, Finland, France and the Netherlands.
The International Cooperation Council was organized by the Government of the Vologda Region, the Department of Economic Development and the Vologda Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The focus of the event is on international cooperation and exports, procurements made by major customers and natural monopolies with small and medium-sized businesses.
The Council will host a series of B2B meetings with representatives of Norwegian, French, German and Finnish companies interested in strengthening economic cooperation and further partnership ties with Vologda Region.
One of the main objectives of the Council is to create a dialogue platform for discussion of key issues related to the development of business cooperation and support of foreign economic activity in the regions.
The Vologda Region cooperates with 108 countries. In the ranking of regions of Russia in terms of exports, the Vologda Region takes the 18th place. For eight months of 2019, the region's exports amounted to more than 88% of the total turnover.
IV International Cooperation Council is also one of the key business events for showcasing Vologda’s export potential and a variety of ways in which a company can enter a foreign market.
