Residents of the Vologda Region are celebrating the day of State flag of the Russian Federation.

The day of State flag of the Russian Federation, one of the statutory holidays of Russia, was established in 1994 by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation and is celebrated on August, 22.
The flag of Russia has three equal bands of white at the topmost, blue in the middle, and red at the bottom.
The colours of the Russian flag stand for nobility, freedom, generosity, loyalty and courage. The day of State flag of the Russian Federation unites all Russians, regardless of age, political or religious beliefs. On this day numerous events will be held throughout the Vologda Region - concerts, exhibition and flesh mobs.
